Bud who is retired shoots in Brookside Gardens almost daily since he lives nearby. He will lead an outing there for PVNP members in July. There are a number of venues in the Gardens ranging from formal gardens like the Rose Garden to the Wings of Fancy live butterfly exhibit in the Conservatory. There are many other shooting opportunities including birds & other critters, scenics, gardenscapes, abstracts of flora and structures, and macro photography of the flora and fauna of the gardens.

The outing will start at 6:00 am from the Conservatory parking lot and will conclude at 10:00 am to allow those who want to visit the Wings of Fancy butterfly exhibit to do so - the hours for that are 10:00 am - 4:00 pm and there is a $5 fee. A second session of this outing will begin at 4:00 pm (again from the Conservatory parking lot) and will conclude about 8:00 pm when the Gardens close. The Gardens are such that someone arriving at times other than the start times will be able to spot the group(s) shooting in the various venues.

Maps of the Gardens and brochures including the one for the Flights of Fancy will be available at the June meeting. Directions to the Gardens and to the starting point for the PVNP outing will be posted once the date is set.
